One enquiry, three different starting points
For whole-home filtration, begin with the incoming water connection and the outlets you want treated. For under-sink RO, start with the kitchen cabinet and proposed drinking tap. For heat pump hot water, show the existing heater and potential replacement position. You do not need to choose a brand before making the first enquiry.
Explain your objective in everyday terms. “I want a dedicated drinking-water outlet” is more useful than guessing a technical specification. “We use two showers at the same time” gives context for a hot water discussion. Share any layout plans if the home is being renovated.
Photos that help
- A wide photo of the existing equipment and its surroundings.
- A readable model plate where accessible without removing covers.
- The full open kitchen cupboard, including bins, drawers and sink bowl.
- The route from the street or driveway, including gates and stairs.
- Nearby windows, doors, fences and any proposed screening.
Take photos only from safe, accessible positions. There is no need to open electrical equipment, move heavy units or disturb plumbing to prepare an enquiry. Avoid sending financial or identity documents through the website form.
Resolve permissions before scheduling work
Tell us whether you own the property, rent it or are in a strata scheme. NSW Government guidance distinguishes categories of strata renovation and their approval processes. Check the requirements for the actual proposal with the relevant owner or scheme before installation; a kitchen upgrade is not automatically exempt because it looks small.
What the quote should make clear
Request the exact system, the proposed location and a description of what the installation includes. Ask what will be removed, what remains, any access requirements, and how additional work would be handled if it is identified. Compare like-for-like scopes instead of assuming every quote includes the same components.
For heat pumps, NSW guidance recommends checking installer licensing and discussing the requirements of replacing the existing energy source. Ask how the proposed model suits your hot water demand and the available location. Any financial comparison should separate equipment cost, installation work, incentives and finance terms.
Plan the day and the handover
Ask about the work sequence and when water or hot water may be unavailable. Arrange access and keep the working area clear as agreed. At handover, ask for the operating instructions, model details, maintenance requirements and relevant installation documentation. Understand who to contact if a question arises after you begin using the system.
Book the right next step
Puora Plumbing services Sydney-wide and throughout NSW. Call Max on 0405 888 777 or prepare an email enquiry. Filtration enquiries can begin with a free in-home assessment. The website prepares an email draft: you must review and send it from your email app. Submitting the form does not automatically make a booking.
Quick answers
Does preparing an enquiry book an installation?
No. It opens an email draft for you to send. Scope, suitability and timing need to be discussed and agreed separately.
Should I know the exact model before I call?
No. Start with your goal, existing setup and available space. Product selection follows from those requirements.
